Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) had a positive year in two respects in 2021. EBN made further progress in making the gas value chain more sustainable, and the company thus makes a substantial contribution to accelerating the energy transition, climate goals and the coalition agreement. In addition, the particularly high gas price led to a net profit of EUR 656 million. However, all this is overshadowed by the terrible war in Ukraine that has been raging since February.
