Geothermal potential of the Alblasserdam Formation

On March 14, Marianne Leewis spoke at the WNB symposium. The aim of this symposium was to discuss the geology of the West Netherlands Basin, which is the geothermal hotspot of the Netherlands.

Marianne spoke about the geothermal potential of the Alblasserdam Formation. She calls for more data collection and integration of scientific and applied studies. She suggests that low temperature should be looked at more often. In this way the geothermal potential of the Alblasserdam Formation can really be unlocked.
